A little help.
Back to your rhythm.
Help with tasks, visual timers, saved history, reminders, and your paired Apple Watch.
For iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Kadence is preparing for its first public App Store release.
Make time easier to see.
How do I time a task and save it?
Create a task, open it, and start its timer. You can pause and resume the attempt. When you finish on iPhone or iPad, review the result and choose Save to add it to that task’s history. A running or paused attempt is not yet a saved result.
The iPhone or iPad app has one active timer at a time. If another attempt is already running or paused, return to it before starting a different task. Finish and save it, or use the discard confirmation only if you do not want to keep it.
What does the timer ring compare?
The ring shows elapsed time. Choose Average or Personal best to compare the current attempt with that task’s saved results. The current-time color covers the comparison color as you approach the reference.
Comparisons need saved attempts for the same task. Going over a reference is information, not failure. Phone and Watch timers are independent.
Can I keep timing offline? Why did an attempt reopen paused?
Starting timers, saving attempts, and reading local history work without an internet connection.
After a restart, reboot, or uncertain clock change, an attempt may reopen paused at its last verified checkpoint. Kadence does not guess time it cannot verify. Read the recovery explanation and review the saved time before resuming.
Find the time you saved.
I cannot find a task or a completed attempt.
On the task list, open Task options (the ellipsis button) and check Show archived. Archived tasks are separate from the active list.
Open the relevant task to review its saved attempts. A timer must be finished and saved before it appears in history. If you finished on Apple Watch, check whether the attempt is still waiting to sync.
Before replacing a device or uninstalling Kadence, let pending Watch attempts sync and export a backup. Uninstalling removes the app’s local copies.
Why is an average missing or different from what I expected?
Personal averages and best times use saved attempts for that task. A new task has no comparison until you save an attempt. The current unfinished timer is not included.
Check that you are viewing the intended task and its history. Deleting a saved attempt changes the results available for comparisons. There is no need to share your private history with support to describe a problem.
A rhythm of its own.
How do I set up the first Watch sync?
- Use your paired iPhone and Apple Watch, with Kadence installed on both.
- Unlock the iPhone and open Kadence on both devices so tasks can transfer.
- If the Watch needs another try, use Sync & refresh and keep both apps open while you check the result.
After the initial task sync, the Watch can start, pause, finish, and save its own attempts away from your phone. Its timer is independent of the phone timer.
An offline Watch attempt is still waiting to sync. What should I do?
Completed attempts stay on the Watch until the iPhone confirms that it saved them. Bring the paired devices back together, unlock the iPhone, and open Kadence on both. Use Sync & refresh if needed.
Reconnection and delivery timing depend on the system; sync is not guaranteed to be instant. Keep the Watch app installed until pending attempts show Synced. Do not erase, unpair, or uninstall the Watch app while attempts are waiting.
An iPhone backup export includes attempts already imported to the iPhone, not attempts that exist only on the Watch. Wait for pending attempts to sync before exporting.
Check the next prompt.
Why did a reminder not arrive?
- Check the task’s schedule and whether Remind me is enabled.
- In the iPhone or iPad Settings app, check that notifications are allowed for Kadence.
- Review Focus and Scheduled Summary, which can affect how notifications appear.
- Open Your schedule in Kadence and review Reminder health for permission, scheduling, or capacity issues. Follow its explanation and use Retry when shown.
Reminders are prompts. They do not start a timer automatically, and their delivery depends on system permission and delivery settings.
Why does Reminder health ask me to open the app again?
Some month-end schedules and schedules with future start dates use a limited queue of dated reminders. Reminder health shows coverage and renewal information for these schedules.
Open Kadence to renew the queue when prompted. A long absence can exhaust those queued notifications even though the routine remains in the app. Review reminder health after changing a schedule or restoring a backup.
Keep your rhythm safe.
How do I export a JSON backup?
- Let any pending Apple Watch attempts finish syncing to the iPhone.
- From the task list, open Task options (the ellipsis button), then Backups & recovery.
- Choose Export backup and save the JSON file somewhere you control using the system file picker.
The export contains tasks, history, schedules, and medals. It can include private names, notes, and timing history. Keep it in a trusted place; Kadence does not separately encrypt exported JSON files. Device backups depend on your Apple settings, so keep a separate export before erasing or replacing a device.
How do I restore a backup? What will change?
- Export your current data first if you want to keep a separate copy.
- Open Task options → Backups & recovery → Restore from a file and select a Kadence JSON backup you trust.
- Review the contents and replacement warning before choosing Restore backup. Restore replaces the current tasks, history, schedules, and medals; it is not a merge.
- Review any restored timer before resuming it. Imported timers stay paused, and imported reminders are switched off. Re-enable reminders in each task’s schedule when you are ready, then check Reminder health.
A local safety copy is made before a successful restore. If Kadence says the backup came from a newer version, update the app before trying again. If a file is rejected or restore fails, keep the original file and describe the error to support rather than editing the JSON yourself.
Can I undo the last restore?
When a safety copy is available, open Task options → Backups & recovery → Undo last restore. Read the confirmation: Undo replaces the data currently in Kadence with the local safety copy made just before the most recent restore.
Export any new work you want to keep before using Undo. A saved timer returns paused. After either restore or Undo, review your tasks, schedules, and Reminder health before continuing.

Email support
For a question or a reply, email support@serinamediagroup.com. The link opens your email app so you can review and send your message.
Include your app version, what you expected, what happened, and any steps that reproduce the problem. If an in-app report gave you a reference, you can include it. No backup, task history, screenshot, or log is required.
Please leave out passwords, payment details, private task names, notes, and other sensitive information.
Email Kadence supportReport a problem in the app
- On the task list, open Task options (the ellipsis button), then Report a problem. You can also open it from Privacy & analytics.
- Choose a topic, add a short title, describe what happened and what you expected, and add reproduction steps if useful.
- Choose whether to turn on Include app & iOS versions. This is optional. Task history, screenshots, and logs are not attached automatically.
- Review your text, tap Send report, then confirm Send report in the confirmation dialog. Nothing is sent until you confirm.
Report received means the support service accepted the report for forwarding. Keep its reference if you want to follow up by email. Forwarding can take time; that confirmation is not a promise of immediate email delivery.
In-app reports do not collect a reply address. Use email if you would like a reply. If Send is unavailable or a report cannot be confirmed, keep the draft open to retry or contact support by email instead.
Reports are separate from optional category sharing. See the Kadence privacy policy for how app data and voluntary reports are handled.
